Partnership Structure

CERC represents a partnership between universities across the globe, with the University of British Columbia and Simon Fraser University’s Centre for the Study of Human Evolution, Cognition and Culture (HECC) at its nexus. The consortium currently includes Senior Partner Institutions Aarhus University (Denmark) and Masaryk University (Czech Republic), confirmed Partner Institutions Harvard University (USA), University of Connecticut (USA), California State University, Fullerton (USA), the University of Victoria (Canada), McGill University (Canada), the University of Helsinki (Finland), and potential Partner Institutions Tokyo University, the Chinese University of Hong Kong, the University of Auckland. CERC also includes several individual researchers, and has received support for a theoretical planning session from the Ernst Strüngmann Forum and an inaugural lecture series from UBC’s Green College. In the future the consortium may expand to include additional Partner Institutions and Contributors over the lifetime of the grant.
